Letter To Next Year's Teacher

Dear 11th grade teacher,
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself before we meet next year for American Studies. As you know my name is Tom Denninger, and I'm sure you are now familiar with my work since that is the main reason for this portfolio. I am looking forward to a challenging year and one that is exciting too.

My expectations for the class are that it will be as challenging as this past year has been and also that there is a comfortable feel to the class. This past year in Mr. Luizzi's class I had a very vigorous schedule for work and I wouldn't mind having one a little easier, but I know that would not be good for my academic development. You can expect that I will stay on top of my work for the most part and try my best. I feel however the feel of the classroom should be relaxed. Mr. Luizzi's class had a very laid back atmosphere where everyone was comfortable to get to know each other. I would much prefer that over a strict business like atmosphere. I look forward to next year.
